Maureen Clarke is passionate about her musical journey with an instrument that brings healing and restoration. Brought up in a musical family, her love for music began at a young age. It was in a time of rest and healing that her lifelong desire to play the harp came to be.
Maureen is a self-taught harpist, whose original compositions, uninfluenced by others, are drawn from deep within. She lives on the shores of a beautiful lake in British Columbia where she offers music therapy, performs, teaches, and continues to compose new songs.
Her desire for collective wholeness and healing inspired her to record these timeless treasures. She shares these gifts with you, in hope that, on the wings of healing, you will “Rise Up”.
Don Clarke, her husband and co-conspirator in this project has been expressing his musicality since the womb. His vocals, guitar, keys, percussion and anything else that needs playin', as well as song-writing, complete the Avadim mix.
We currently have three albums available "Rise Up", "The Way Home", and " The Frequency of Life". All three albums have been engineered, mixed and mastered by Jesse Clarke, our son and fellow musician, and talented recording engineer. Those are his fat and funky baselines and percussion on "The Way Home" album.
We are in the process of recording two new albums. The plan was for Jesse to begin recording late August of 2023. Intense forest fires that surrounded our small BC town delayed the project until the new year.
Then on January 18, 2024 Jesse unexpectedly passed from this realm to the life after… He had just turned 39 leaving his beautiful wife Morgan and one year old son Bowen! Our precious son, fellow musician, recording engineer, producer, and close friend was suddenly taken away.
So here we are, picking up the pieces of our shattered lives, trying to remain faithful and do what we’ve been called to do. We continue to produce and work out the songs and are endeavouring to persevere to record them ourselves.

OUR SOUND
The harp is one of the oldest instruments in history. Early historical evidence shows the first mention of the harp was in Mesopotamia, around 2800 BC. It has long been known that harp music calms the spirit, soul, and body. David’s harp-playing calmed King Saul’s troubled soul. The harp was also one of the instruments used to release the prophetic word.
The vibrations of the harp have several unique healing properties, allowing restoration to unfold in times of physical and emotional pain. The harp’s vibrations penetrate body tissues at the cellular level to facilitate healing.
To increase this powerful healing, our songs are written and recorded in the ancient solfeggio scale. At a tuning of 444hz, the note “high c” is produced at 528hz. This is the frequency that scientists use to repair damaged DNA. This frequency brings the DNA strands back into their helix formation. It is believed that these frequencies are what life was created in, as the Creator spoke or sang everything into existence. This is the frequency of life.
These compositions, drawn from deep within, bypass the logical mind and aim right at the heart of the matter. May these unique melodies support you in a cradle of calming and therapeutic sound.
